Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent stay at Vallum Lodge.  You, your family, and staff were most kind and accommodating to us.  Our room was clean and comfortable and had the best beds on the walk!  We might also add we enjoyed that little bottle of wine we found in the cooler each night!  We loved the laundry service, of which you were the only B&B that offered that!  We can't even tell you how wonderful that was after all that rain and mud!  Your welcoming lounge area really encouraged the guests to talk with one another and we met and talked with so many interesting people during our stay.
But, most especially, We appreciate your commitment to taking Diana into the local town to see the doctor and have her feet examined.  It was so kind of you to do that.  We know that wasn't in your plans, but your kind words and quick action made a worrisome situation better.  It's those little things that really define what is different from one place to another.  You truly run a fine establishment and we'd be happy to recommend it to anyone traveling to the Hadrian's Wall Country.

Guest Review on Hadrian's Wall

We really enjoyed the walk along the wall.  It was fairly tough going due to the weather and ground conditions being so saturated, but it was truly amazing.

Although difficult with a heavy backpack, the walk “up top” was the highlight. For me, walking with the unbroken stretches of wall was the most spectacular.  This for me was the most rural and unspoiled part of the walk, and I particularly enjoyed our picnic perched upon Highshield Crags. You really are the only people in the whole world up there, and the air could not be fresher. 

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you, and we really enjoyed the walk. It was fairly tough going due to the weather and ground conditions being so saturated, but it was truly amazing.
